Welcome to Carahill Kennels.
Meet some of the most beautiful Pomskies, Huskies & Pomeranians in the world.
What is a Pomsky?
Pomskies are a mix between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. Pomskies are a fairly new and rare breed and are sometime referred to as a designer breed. Pomskies bear a striking resemblance to Siberian Huskies with the only difference being that they are much smaller than Huskies.
A female Siberian Husky is approximately 20 to 22 inches tall. A male Pomeranian is usually going to fall in the 7 to 12 inches tall range.
Pomskies will generally grow to be anywhere from approximately 10 to 15 inches in height. Pomskies inherit traits from both Huskies and Pomeranians and are highly intelligent, loving and playful. Just like Siberian Huskies, Pomskies are eager to learn and will pick up commands easily.
Pomsky dogs are always looking for an opportunity to impress! As Pomeranians are descendants of Siberian Huskies, the crossing of the two breeds is ideal and a proven perfect mix!
Pomskies are a very loyal, friendly and clever breed of dogs. They enjoy the outdoors just as much as a Husky and will gladly accompany you on long walks. That's not to say that they won't be just as happy to cuddle up with you while you watch your favorite show on the TV!
A bit about Pomeranians.
Pomeranians are descendants of Siberian Huskies, Samoyeds and Alaskan Malamutes. These are the smallest dogs of the German Spitz family. The Pomeranians were primarily bred in Germany and Poland in the 8th Century.
When Pomeranians were first imported into England, they were primarily available in white and were bred for their small size and thick coat. Pomeranians got their claim to fame when Queen Victoria popularised them in England in the 19th Century. It was around this time when their size was reduced even further, and they were made available in a variety of different colors.
One of the cutest breed of Pomeranians would be the Teddy Bear Poms. These dogs are very active, playful, and they love a royal treatment. Teddy Bear Poms are not only cute, they are also very confident, curious, highly intelligent, and are very easy to train. However, establishing house rules with them should not be overlooked.
Teddy Bear Poms get very attached to their owners and are a perfect partner to bring along on all of your adventures. They enjoy following their owners around so don't be surprised if find your dog behind you everytime you look over your shoulder. Pomeranians love to explore and are a social breed. However, whenever you bring them out to a park, just remember that they are sensitive to heat. Regular grooming can make a huge difference.
A little bit about Siberian Huskies.
The famous wolf-like, medium-sized Siberian Huskies have eyes that are shaped like almonds. Their eyes can be either brown or blue or even sometimes one of each. Their eyes make them look mischievous and keen but friendly at the same time. Siberian Huskies are very quick, nimble-footed, and are known for their powerful but seemingly effortless gait.
Since Siberian Huskies are born pack dogs, they enjoy family life and get along very well with other dogs. Huskies are extremely friendly by nature so they don't always the best watchdogs. They are full of energy and find it extremely hard to resist chasing small animals. Since they are always to eager to run around and chase little animals, a secure running area is a must. A feature that a lot of home owners find attractive is that Siberian Huskies are naturally clean and don't give out much 'doggy' odour. They are remarkable at cleaning themselves and often only need a bath once every few months. Weekly brushing is advised to keep their coat and skin in good condition.
Siberian Huskies require a lot exercise since they are very active dogs. Regular exercise is extremely important for their physical and mental well being, and doing a variety of activities together help to strengthen the bond between the dog and their owner. Huskies stay happy and healthy when they are kept busy and active. Siberian Huskies are very well known for their adaptability to any environment. For people who live in an urban area, this can be great news as daily walks or dog parks can provide enough exercise to keep your Husky happy and healthy.

Cara hill kennels Are absolutely amazing. They gave us our pride and joy our son Rico. We love him so much. He has such a good temperament you could tell that he was very well looked after and he came to us. Throughout the process they have always sent us pictures and videos and kept us updated. It’s the best decision we ever made going through them there so professional and every day they would send us videos of Rico running in a huge field he got lots of exercise I was always happy. He came with all his vaccinations and his passport.Rico really was the perfect Pomski . I have never bought a puppy before and wasn’t very comfortable sending over a large amount of money to people that I did not know especially in another country. But they’re 110% trustworthy and kind. You can tell from all their videos that they said that they really love the puppies and take very good care of them as well as the mum and dad. I recommend them 100%.
After having a Pomsky previously who we completely adored we came across Carrahill Kennels on Instagram and decided when the time came to find our new Pomsky puppy that’s where we’d go. We saw some beautiful available puppies on their website and asked to visit. Emer and Seamus were very accommodating regarding times etc. Where we saw the mother and her pups and all the other happy dogs, including the Pomeranian male father. The kennels are immaculately keep with ample space outside for the dogs to run about. All documents and vet visits were up to date. They were even kind enough to give some of our puppies regular food to help transition over to her new food at home. With regular check ins since we brought Luna to her forever home, it’s obvious they care about the puppies not just when they are at the kennels. If you are looking to find your newest four legged bestie, I honestly couldn’t recommend Carrahill Kennels enough.
